FastBraces® is truly fast braces that can give straight teeth faster and more comfortably than traditional orthodontic braces for both adults and children.

Generally crowding occurs because of a discrepancy between tooth size and jaw size or because teeth have not erupted in the correct position. There are many options available for straightening teeth, one great option is the FastBraces® system. At Dominion Dental Centre Dr Sumaya Ershad is the certified FastBraces® provider.

FastBraces® technology allows teeth to be straightened in about a year, for some cases it can take as little as three months. Goal of FastBraces® technology is to correct mal-aligned teeth while maintaining the patient’s original bite. Traditional braces are generally square whereas FastBraces® is triangular in shape, meaning when we are measuring the distance of the wire between the brackets, it is doubled for FastBraces®. Doubling the wire distance between brackets means the flexibility of the wire is increased by eight times. This allows us to place a thicker square wire which can upright roots of teeth right from the first appointment reducing treatment time.

FastBraces® can correct mild to moderate crowding, open bite, high canines, overbite, crossbites, spacing etc. The benefits of orthodontic treatment include an aesthetically pleasing smile, orthodontically straightened teeth are less likely to chip and are less prone to wear, are easier to keep clean, less likely to decay and less likely to develop gum disease. However the Fastbraces system may not be suitable for everyone.
