Dr Sumaya Ershad – Principal Dentist
BDS Otago 2006 (with Distinction)
Dr Sumaya Ershad graduated from the University of Otago in 2006 and has been practising dentistry ever since, giving her over 18 years of clinical experience. Early in her career, she worked as a dental house surgeon at Wellington and Hutt Valley Hospitals, where she gained invaluable experience in emergency dentistry, oral surgery, and managing complex dental cases.
With more than 15 years’ experience across general, cosmetic, and advanced dentistry, Dr Ershad is highly skilled in restorative treatments, orthodontics, root canal therapy, and wisdom tooth removal. She is known for her gentle chairside manner, making even the most anxious patients feel at ease.
Dr Ershad is an active member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and the Auckland Dental Association (ADA). She has also given back to her community as a trustee member at Massey Primary School.
Raised in Wellington, Dr Ershad attended local schools before moving to Auckland, where she is now a proud resident of Mt. Albert. Outside of dentistry, she is a devoted mum to her son and daughter, who keep her happily busy with family life. Patients often appreciate not only her clinical expertise but also her warm, approachable personality and genuine care for people.
As Principal Dentist at Dominion Dental Centre, Dr Ershad is proud to lead a team dedicated to serving the Mount Roskill and wider Auckland community, combining modern dentistry with a caring, family-focused approach.
Dr Ernie Park – Dentist

After graduating with First-Class Honours from the University of Otago in 2014, Dr Ernie Park has built a reputation for delivering high-quality general dentistry with a calm and reassuring approach.

Sabah is a talented and dedicated clinical dental assistant who brings both skill and warmth to Dominion Dental Centre. With her friendly nature and calm presence, she helps put patients at ease from the moment they sit in the chair.
Highly experienced in all aspects of dentistry, Sabah supports our dentists with efficiency and precision, making sure treatments run smoothly. She balances speed with accuracy, carrying out her multitasking duties effortlessly — from preparing treatment rooms to assisting during procedures.
Patients and colleagues alike value her reliability and positive attitude, which makes her an essential part of our dental team and a familiar, reassuring presence in the clinic.
Sabah – Clinical Dental Assistant
Krishna Patel is a highly skilled and caring dental assistant who plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of our clinic. With her cheerful personality and professional expertise, she helps patients feel relaxed and supported throughout their dental visits.
Krishna assists across a wide range of treatments, from general check-ups to more advanced procedures, always making sure both patients and dentists have everything they need. Known for her reliability and attention to detail, she helps create a calm and efficient environment in the surgery.
Her friendly nature and dedication to patient care make her a valued member of the Dominion Dental Centre team. Krishna is currently on parental leave, and we look forward to welcoming her back to the clinic in the near future.
Alison – Reception & Patient Care Coordinator
Alison is one of the newest members of the Dominion Dental Centre family and often the first friendly face you’ll see when you arrive at our clinic. She is passionate about making patients feel welcome and comfortable, whether they are visiting for a routine check-up or urgent care.
With a warm smile and approachable personality, Alison helps guide patients through bookings, enquiries, and day-to-day support. She enjoys being part of a caring, professional team and takes pride in ensuring that every visit starts off on the right note.
Her genuine commitment to patient care makes her an important link between our clinical team and the families we serve across Mount Roskill and the wider Auckland community.
